got some fresh peas at the market on saturday, it really surprised me how much they cost. I mean, you can get frozen shit for really cheap. I know most things cost more fresh than frozen (since fresh stuff will perish, thus the premium), but the difference is big here.
regardless the parity in cost, there are a few things that are just shitty frozen, but absolutely fantastic when fresh. peas for one, here for dinner we got minted peas with a little lemon juice and olive oil, with lamb chops. The peas are so good, the lamb was more like the side.
