the conflict between the tamil rebel and the sri Lanka government apparently has spilled over here in toronto.
the supporter and people from Tamil have been there since 6:30 pm, shutting down the east-west express way just south of downtown. they are demanding the canadian government take action against sri lanka for the recent supposedly bombing.
while these guys certainly seem to have very strong feeling regarding what is going on over there, I don't really know jack shit about the current conflict and the history behind it to have an informed opinion.
but given what has taken place in iraq and Afghanistan, I am not sure foreign intervention is the best solution to the problem?
