It is Canada day tomorrow, so stopped in the Spadina & King LCBO on my way home from Chinatown, to pick up a couple of Canadian beers for the occasion, as they are probably not opened tomorrow.
Good thing I did, got the last bottle of this El Maestro Sierra fino sherry on the shelf. I love fino sherry, as an aperitif or to drink with cured meats, pickles and cheeses before a meal. It is also fantastic with light seafood dishes. This is a particularly fine example of it in my humble opinion, a bit darker, fuller, but still wonderfully dry, mineral, and refreshing. This is the first time I have seen this at the LCBO, hopefully it will not be the last.
