To those fucking assholes that rides their bikes on the sidewalk, it is called side'walk', for pedestrians to walk on, not side'ride', not for assholes to ride their bicycles on.

I am really stupid

A few years ago when the economy of China was growing at a fast pace, I heard and read about how China will take over the US as the #1 economic power in the world etc, and how that could be bad news for us here.

Now that China has slowed down a bit, then we get stocks plunging here and people worried about their investment etc.

I get it that China is a big market and their growth and consumption will effect what we do here.  But I really don't understand how a fast growing China is not good, and a slow growing China is also bad?  So which is it that we want to see, does anyone know?  

brutal winter

I know Toronto winter is supposedly mild compared to a lot of other places in Canada, but this past couple of months have been pretty epic.  It is my sixth winter here and it is the first time that I have seen ice that far out into the lake.

Spadina clusterfuck continues

After being here for six years, I finally figured it out.  People in Toronto do three things in the summer:  they sit outside and drink beer, they go to cottages, and they tear up the roads for no apparent fucking reason.

So for the third year in the row, they are doing god knows what in the Spadina station as well as on Spadina.  And once again the 510 street cars are not running and replaced by the buses.  The traffics on these already very busy intersections are again just clusterfucks.

Well, now I know what to expect next summer.

不要 (no)!

The first word my girlfriend's nephew learned to say is 不要, that means no in Mandarin.  For a long time that was the only word that he says.  Well, the congress is acting like a 2 year old right now.

TTC clusterfuck continues .....

Now for the second summer in a row, they are shutting down 510 street cars for a extended period.  This time to rip up the intersection of King and Spadina.

I really hope they will be able to restore full service of the line before winter .....
